We apply traditional Japanese matcha techniques to yaupon, North America’s “native tea,” to craft our yaupon matcha. The result is a finely ground powder made from whole-leaf yaupon that's ready to dissolve in hot or cold beverages, smoothies, ice creams, baked treats, and more.
When you add yaupon matcha powder to a liquid or use it in a recipe, you're getting an impressive dose of healthy antioxidants, polyphenols, and theobromine, plus moderate amounts of energizing caffeine. How does it stack up to other superfoods? Lab testing shows that, by weight, our yaupon matcha has approximately 8X more theobromine than yerba mate, 1.5X more polyphenols than cacao, and 3X more antioxidants than blueberries. Enjoy!
