About

Dropseed is an eco-education platform and sustainable marketplace that helps consumers reduce the emissions and waste of their everyday purchases by up to 95%. Our mission is to provide a decarbonized model for online shopping by becoming the future of local and sustainable e-commerce. We aim to elevate truly sustainable small businesses, keep pretenders out, and bring consumers goods they can truly love at accessible prices.

Dropseed was founded by 2 Climatebase Fellows and lifelong New Yorkers, Nicole Yershov and Matt Rosenbaum. Nicole's background is in product and data science, most recently using satellite and GIS analytics to enable farmers to grow food more sustainably with data driven insights. She recently completed her Life Cycle Analysis certification from MIT. Matt is a 2nd time founder (Generation Conscious: a sustainable detergent sheet co.) and climate journalist (ABC News/Years of Living Dangerously/The Years Project). He recently got his MBA from Columbia Business School.
