    This bag is the first of its kind to hit the shelves in the US. While there are several options of standard biodegradable bags on the market, up until now, it has been impossible to find a coffee bag with a biodegradable degassing valve, which makes our bag completely shelf-stable and biodegradable, while maintaining freshness for longer!

    At Café Mam, we are dedicated to changing the world through coffee. Our family-owned and operated coffee company is based in Eugene, Oregon, with deep roots in organic agriculture and a strong commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and environmentalism.

    Mission:
    Our mission is to provide high-quality, freshly roasted coffee while upholding principles of cultural identity, human dignity, and social responsibility. We aim to support organic agriculture, social justice, and environmental reform through our actions and donations.

    Certifications:
    Café Mam offers organic, fair trade, shade-grown coffee sourced from fair trade cooperatives of native Maya farmers in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. We are proud to be the first US company to be SPP certified, a farmer-driven initiative that elevates fair trade standards.

    Sustainability Efforts:
    - Community: We donate 2% of sales to nonprofit organizations dedicated to organic agriculture, social justice, and environmental reform, totaling over $1.4 million since our inception.
    - Planet: Through our Climate Change Mitigation Fund, we pay an additional premium for each pound of coffee to combat climate change challenges in indigenous communities, amounting to over $232,100.
    - People: We support the small-producer cooperative movement and prioritize fair trade practices throughout our supply chain.

    Materials:
    All our coffee is 100% organic, certified fair trade, shade-grown, high altitude, and arabica. We roast your coffee to order and ship it within one day of roasting, ensuring the freshest possible coffee for our customers. Additionally, our packaging is biodegradable, aligning with our commitment to sustainability.
