Directions for use:

Sodium hydroxide is a chemical compound that holds or maintains the pH of skincare products, also known as lye. In soap, it’s combined with animal fat or vegetable oil in a process called saponification. Essentially, soap is a mixture of base oils, a diluted lye solution, and herbal additives.

During the soap making process the lye is heavily diluted with water, and added to the oils to create a thick mixture. The mixture is then added to a mold for 24 hours to harden, and set to cure for 4-6 weeks. During the curing process, the soap bars lose water weight, in which the sodium hydroxide is dissolved. Therefore lye is needed for the chemical process that soap goes through, but it's not present in the final product.

Crushed steel cut Oatmeal within and sprinkled with oatmeal on top, this soap has a "woodsy rummy" aroma but it is so subtle and refreshing that it is one of my most popular for not only men, but this is my daughters favorite as well! The Oatmeal added calms and softens itchy skin. The Brown Sugar acts as an exfoliate and molasses has been added for it's healing properties. Sweet Harvest Farms gentleman customers tell me they love to shave with my soap but especially this one! The The Shea Butter used in all my recipes softens the beard while the organic oils create a rich creamy lather.

I made this organic handmade soap for the Gasaparilla Pirate Fest here in Florida back in Feb. of 2010. The City of Tampa, celebrates the apocryphal legend of José Gaspar (also known as Gasparilla), a mythical Spanish pirate who supposedly operated in Southwest Florida in the early 1800s.

It was a hit and it sells as fast as I make it so I continue to make it year round! If I was to "hook" up with a pirate, yet sensitive type of guy, this is what I would want him to smell like! A manly scent that is mild yet enticing! Oatmeal added within and sprinkled on top not only for exfoliation, but for its soothing, calming qualities for your skin as well.

Both men and women will love this scent. Absolutely dreamy!

Large 7 oz. Bar will last approximately 8-10 weeks in the shower!  Not because of it's size, but because this is a true soap. Our proprietary formula leaves your skin both soft and squeaky clean. If your "soap" leaves a film in your shower it is doing the same to your skin and is most likely made from a base or melt and pour! Yuk!
