Sodium hydroxide is a chemical compound that holds or maintains the pH of skincare products, also known as lye. In soap, it’s combined with animal fat or vegetable oil in a process called saponification.

Essentially, soap is a mixture of base oils, a diluted lye solution, and herbal additives. 
During the soap making process the lye is heavily diluted with water, and added to the oils to create a thick mixture. The mixture is then added to a mold for 24 hours to harden, and set to cure for 4-6 weeks.

During the curing process, the soap bars lose water weight, in which the sodium hydroxide is dissolved. Therefore lye is needed for the chemical process that soap goes through, but it's not present in the final product.

Raze Acne Blemish Organic Handmade Soap
.....It Works!

Sweet Harvest Farms organic handmade Raze Acne Blemish soap is made with saponified Organic oils of Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Palm Oil (sustainable) along with Vitamin E and Rosemary Extract, Willow Bark (Brewed into a tea and added to the soap.

Willow Bark contains natural Salicylic Acid which is excellent for oily skin, blemishes and acne This is a botanical and natural alternative to the synthetic Salicylic acid you find commercially which is made in a lab so it is chemical and preservative laden.

Because our handmade organic soap contains natural salicylic acid our Raze bar is also good to use to help diminish the appearance of Keratosis Pilaris.

Even though this soap  may not contain a large amount of organic and natural salicylic, we still advise not use if allergic to aspirin or other salicylate-containing drugs. Do not administer to children or adolescents with viral infections due to the possibility of Reye's syndrome. 

There is no complete cure for Acne but the Willow Bark in this Raze soap can help. It is best to use a soft bristle face brush when washing your face with this soap. Rinse brush with hot water and allow to air dry after each use. Our customers have reported seeing a huge improvement in their skin and ability to control breakouts after using this miracle bar of soap! Patchouli Organic Handmade Soap

Once consider the scent of "hippies" and flower children" of the 60's, some find it too strong but I had so many request for Patchouli scented soap that I finally decided to take the plunge!

Patchouli can often be "off-putting" but I have managed to find just the right blend of oils to make this one "just right"! A throw back to the 60's without the "in your face" scent. My customers are pleased and many who don't like Patchouli love ours!

Excellent for oily, congested or problem skin, however it is also a wonderful skin treatment for dry and aging skin. Rhassoul clay helps to gently exfoliate the skin, leaving it soft and silky-smooth with an improved skin texture that is visible after use

Sourced from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and is often used in spas for skin and hair.  This clay can be used daily instead of soap for a gentle way to cleanse that won't strip skin of beneficial oils.

This was actually one of the first bars of soap I made! My daughter knew I was researching on how to make soap and asked me to do something for my granddaughter who was just a baby at the time. Since I had 24!yrs medical experience she knew I may be able to formulate something to help calm her skin which was so covered with Eczema that she was scratching until she bled! 

Our No More Eczema bar worked and it remains one of our most popular products still.

Crushed Oatmeal within and sprinkled with Oatmeal on top. (Flaxseed Oil is highly recommended, by the American Medical Association and Herbalist as well, for the treatment of Eczema and Psoriasis) There is no color or scent in this soap.

Remember when treating Eczema to always "pat" dry after a shower/bath - never rub.

 Note: We do not claim that this soap will cure any skin ailments but many of our customers claim to see a marked improvement in their skin after a very short time.

Espresso Yourself  Organic Handmade  Coffee Soap

I am not a big fan of Coffee, although I do drink it now and then, so when I was asked to make a coffee soap I wasn’t sure if it was something I really wanted to do. After much research I found that coffee is actually good for your skin! Ground coffee helps to tighten your skin and diminish the signs of cellulite!

Caffeine in coffee are somewhat effective to lessen the appearance of cellulite and the caffeine in coffee also helps to dilate blood vessels, which tones and tightens tissue AND it can increase circulation.

The antioxidants in coffee help to release toxins which is healthy for your skin in general. The scent in this soap won’t leave you smelling like a cup of coffee either. The oils blended make it a light and yummy aroma. Coffee grounds are also a great exfoliate!

NOTE: Every soap will differ in style and design as they are each handmade.  Some will have an over abundance of color while others will be minimal.  We do our best to balance out each per order so you don't overwhelming have one style over the other with design :)

Sodium hydroxide?

Sodium hydroxide is a chemical compound that holds or maintains the pH of skincare products, also known as lye. In soap, it’s combined with animal fat or vegetable oil in a process called saponification. Essentially, soap is a mixture of base oils, a diluted lye solution, and herbal additives.

During the soap making process the lye is heavily diluted with water, and added to the oils to create a thick mixture. The mixture is then added to a mold for 24 hours to harden, and set to cure for 4-6 weeks. During the curing process, the soap bars lose water weight, in which the sodium hydroxide is dissolved. Therefore lye is needed for the chemical process that soap goes through, but it's not present in the final product.

A mild woodsy scent with a hint of cream, musk and vanilla undertones. Deep but not overpowering. Amazing in the lotion too! This is a soap that I developed with men in mind but like others in my soap line women love it to! I sell out of it every time I bring it to a market or show!!

Large 7 oz. Bar will last approximately 8-10 weeks in the shower!  Not because of it's size, but because this is a true soap. Our proprietary formula leaves your skin both soft and squeaky clean. If your "soap" leaves a film in your shower it is doing the same to your skin and is most likely made from a base or melt and pour! Yuk!
